LINUX:
Red Hat Not a lot of people realize that Red Hat allows you to download their Red Hat Linux software for free from their web site. You can also download previous versions of Red Hat which is nice if you require a version or feature that was located in a earlier version Red Hat Linux. Keep in mind this is not at download for the faint of heart (or more realistically the slow of internet connection). There are about three 650MB files to download. Also, these files are in a ISO image format. The CD burning wizard built into Windows XP cannot properly burn an ISO image "file"to a CDR, you need a dedicated CD burning program to properly burn a ISO image onto a CDR. (We have used Nero with no problems)

ThrustSSC AVI page

Pictures of ThrustSSC

Did you ever want to know what it feels like to go 763 MPH and break a supersonic land speed record? Well here is your chance. The first link takes you to a page with a downloadable AVI file taken from a video camera mounted in the"ThrustSSC" which broke the land speed record on Nov 15, 1997. Keep in mind that the camera is mounted in the back vertical tail fin of the vehicle. The pilot is located down in front of the camera in between the two jet engines. You are seeing the back of the jet engines. Note: At around 300MPH the driver, Andy Green, will begin to take the jet engines to full throttle, take note of the acceleration of the vehicle. Unbelievable! The second link is pictures of the ThrustSSC.
